Traditional Tae Kwon Do training for students covering technique, flexibility, leg strengthening, fitness & sparring working towards achieving black belt. Class suitable for 16 years & over only, all abilities welcome.
Designed for people who wish to learn the more traditional ITF style of Tae Kwon Do developed by General Choi Hong Hi (1918-2002). Including some Korean history, philosophy & terminology.
Classes usually consist of a warm up, stretching, technical work, pad work, self defence & sparring, with breaking also becoming an option at a later stage for adult students.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a uniform to take part?
No, it’s fine for you to start training in loose comfortable clothing, e.g. tracksuit bottoms and a T-shirt.
Do I need to have a certain level of fitness?
Not at all, classes are structured to allow all ages & abilities to train together working within your capabilities & increasing at a gradual pace.
Is there anything I need to bring?
Just a small bottle of water & a towel.
