Class Descriptions
- Tiny Dragons 3-4 years
- a new class available for pre school & reception age children to give them a safe & fun introduction into martial arts. Children will learn simple techniques and help to develop their balance, co-ordination and self confidence.
- Lil’ Dragons 5-10 years
- a class where children can work towards their black belt in a safe & fun environment while learning about team work, achieving certificates & stickers all while having fun & keeping active.
- Lil’ Dragons Sparring 5-10 years , all grades
- sparring class for children only. Full safety equipment is required to take part in this session. Please contact us for further details.
- Junior Dragons 11-13 years
- a traditional Tae kwon do class for older children, incorporating team work, fitness & martial arts training in one class.
- Tae kwon do
- traditional Tae Kwon Do training for students covering technique, flexibility, leg strengthening, fitness & sparring working towards achieving black belt. Class suitable for 11 years & over only, all grades welcome.
- Fitness kickboxing
- a high energy session designed to improve fitness working with punch bags & pads. This is a non contact session, no previous martial arts experience necessary. Expect to work up a sweat! Suitable for 16 years plus only.
- WTF style sparring
- Olympic style sparring class. Full safety equipment including forearm protectors is required to take part in this session. Please contact us for further details. Suitable for 18 years plus only.
- ITF style sparring
- traditional style sparring class. Full safety equipment is required to take part in this session. Please contact us for further details. Suitable for 11 years plus only.
- Scorpion team
- be part of the Southern Tae Kwon Do demonstration team! This session is for children age 5 - 13 years who want to take part in demonstrations at school fetes & local events. A great team building experience.
- Circuit training
- everything you would expect from a typical circuits class, but including elements of martial arts based training. This high energy session will help improve fitness & stamina. Suitable for 16 years plus only.
- Patterns
- work on forms / patterns & improve application of technique. This is a low to medium intensity session for colour belt students age over 11 years.
- Black Belt training
- this session is specifically set aside for black belt students only & all aspects of black belt training will be included in this class.
